Useful resources for your visit

If you’re planning a trip to Pembrokeshire soon and are new to the area you may be a little unsure about what’s on offer. We’ve discovered some amazing online resources on our Pembrokeshire adventures and thought it would be good to share them here.

There are multiple websites offering information on beaches, restaurants, bars, shops, places to stay, water sports and other attractions. There are also some brilliant Instagram and Twitter accounts to follow too.

Visit Pembrokeshire

Visit Pembrokeshire is an official tourist information website, it has stunning photography, useful links and a lot to read about Pembrokeshire. With a monthly newsletter and blog articles, there is no shortage of information here. Loaded with inspiring ways to make the most of your trip, you’re sure to find something you’ll be desperate to do on this website. With both Twitter and Instagram accounts, they are both worth following in the run up to your visit.

Around Tenby

Around Tenby is a local directory with a blog and podcast and links to multiple local attractions, including places to stay. This is an invaluable resource. Not only a website but Twitter and Instagram accounts too, definitely worth following for local information before your stay. This is one of our favourite Instagram accounts full of inspiring ways to spend your time around Tenby.

National Park

Did you know Pembrokeshire is home to one of the fifteen National Parks in the UK? Wales boasts three of these and all are within reach from the cottage. This is a great website for information on the UK’s National Parks.

Pembrokeshire Coast Charitable Trust website is the place to go for information about the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. A charity set up with conservation in mind, you will find information on enjoying the coast, how to care for it and an events calendar of things to do in the area. You will also find information on taking care of the environment during your stay. After all, this is one we are borrowing, so respecting and leaving it in top notch condition for the locals, wildlife and other visitors to enjoy is our responsibility.

Visit Wales

The official Welsh Tourist Information website has some condensed information on Pembrokeshire’s highlights. Very useful for a multiple range of ages and tastes.

National Trust

The National Trust website is another helpful source of information. They maintain several stunning places in South Pembrokeshire; all of which we enjoy regularly. With essential information on opening times and how to get there, we recommend reading up before your stay.

In reality, there is so much to do on holiday in Pembrokeshire. With a National Park, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, woodlands, beaches, pretty towns, castles and plenty of theme parks, you really won’t run out of fun or beautiful things to see and do whatever the season. The real question is which ones will you leave out for next time?
